LiAngelo Ball played well in the Summer League for the Charlotte Hornets, and he is hopeful it's enough to warrant a roster spot to play alongside his younger brother LaMelo Ball in Buzz City.

The middle of the Ball brothers averaged 9.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals in five games for the Hornets in the Las Vegas Summer League. While he struggled in the past couple of outings, he certainly showed a lot of promise, especially with his shooting.

In his debut for the Hornets, Ball scored 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting from deep. He ended up going 10-of-29 from 3-point territory in the whole tournament, which is a 34.5 percent clip; however, his stroke and touch certainly turned heads.

While it remains to be seen if Charlotte will give him a chance, LiAngelo expressed his belief that he is ready for the NBA.

“I hope so,” Ball said on potentially getting a roster spot with the Hornets, per Evan Sidery of Basketball News. “It's really the coaches' decision, but I feel I'm ready for [it], whether [it's] the NBA, Summer League, anything, really. They just got to tell me what to do and then I'll be ready.”

For what it's worth, LiAngelo Ball also expressed earlier that he belongs in the NBA, adding that he has a lot more to show if given the chance.

The second son of LaVar Ball and brother of both LaMelo Ball and Lonzo Ball actually has a good chance to make it to the Hornets. As reported previously, the Charlotte brass love Gelo and his work ethic, adding that he can truly shoot.

“Great kid. Love him. He was at the facility practicing everyday for two months to play in the Summer League. Shows a ton of character. He can shoot it, great feel, knack for scoring,” Hornets assistant coach Jay Triano said of Gelo previously, per Jordan Schultz of ESPN.

Hopefully, this is the chance LiAngelo is waiting for to finally crack the NBA.
