Charlotte Hornets second-year man Malik Monk made a severe mistake prior to checking into the game at one point this preseason. So his teammates stuck a note right on his jersey to serve as a reminder.

In their preseason game against the Miami Heat, Monk was ready to check in with just under four minutes remaining in the first quarter. But as he took off his warmers, he discovered that he wasn't wearing his jersey — perhaps the most important thing in a professional basketball game apart from the basketball itself.

Good thing, however, that his teammates were on the lookout for the 20-year-old. They were kind enough to post a reminder to not forget the jersey — right on the apparel itself. And they did it in a creative way, too.

It's a funny and entertaining error. Monk is already in his second year but maybe he's not used to the NBA life just yet. After all, playing in basketball's biggest stage can be overwhelming.

Wearing your jersey is just among the things an NBA player has to remember on top of the hundreds of offensive and defensive sets, matchups, switches, and overall game plan. For this mistake, Monk can be easily forgiven.
