Charlotte Hornets point guard Terry Rozier posted a rather cryptic IG story about being “shipped out of the city.”

Some Hornets fans are speculating that Rozier is going to get traded soon after the franchise drafted LaMelo Ball and signed Gordon Hayward in free agency.

The Hornets acquired Terry Rozier from the Boston Celtics in the summer of 2019 in the Kemba Walker sign-and-trade deal. Scary Terry averaged 18.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game for Charlotte in 2019-20, all while shooting 42.3 percent from the field, 40.7 percent from beyond the arc and 87.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Rozier made $19,894,737 in 2019-20 and is set to earn $18,900,000 in 2020-21. The Hornets are obviously going to start Ball and Devonte' Graham in the backcourt next season, so it appears Rozier could be on the move soon.

It would be pretty ironic if Rozier gets traded back to the Celtics if Boston and Charlotte agree to a sign-and-trade deal involving Hayward. Rozier wants to be a starting point guard in the NBA, but that's not possible with the Hornets since Ball is there and the Celtics have Walker, one of the best players in the league.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Rozier, who has career averages of 9.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists with the Celtics and Hornets. Thus far, Rozier has been linked to the Los Angeles Clippers, who desperately need a starting-caliber point guard.
