Heading into the February trade deadline, the biggest name available is reportedly Kemba Walker. As the deadline quickly approaches, Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan recently stated he is not trading Walker for ‘anything but an All-Star player.'

According to Marc Stein of New York Times, the Milwaukee Bucks were among the teams engaged in trade discussions for Walker before Jordan's statement:

Heading into the 2017-18 NBA season, most projected the Bucks to take the next step in their development. Despite acquiring Eric Bledsoe from the Phoenix Suns earlier in the season, they were just 23-22 before firing head coach Jason Kidd.

With Bledsoe already the team's starting point guard and Malcolm Brogdon coming off the bench, it is a surprising report unless one of them was being included in trade discussions. As Walker is one-time All-Star, it would be fun to watch him play alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo.

For both the Bucks and Hornets, they have failed to meet expectations through the first half of the season. While the Hornets have numerous long-term contracts they are reportedly looking to unload such as Dwight Howard and Nicolas Batum, the Bucks are optimistic a head coaching change and Jabari Parker's return can spark them in the second half.

Walker is averaging 21.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in his seventh season.
