Charlotte Hornets center Dwight Howard is a bad man.

During a game between the Hornets and the Miami Heat on Saturday, James Johnson was getting ready for a highlight dunk early in the third quarter.

Johnson drove baseline and took flight. But Howard was there in the rotation to completely erase Johnson's dunk attempt, much to the enjoyment of everyone in the entire world.

What's more fun than an exciting slam dunk in an NBA game? A rejection of an exciting slam dunk attempt in an NBA game. Hands down, no discussion.

And it might be even cooler that it came from Howard, who is considered somewhat of an older player. But Howard, despite being in the league for a long time, is still a giant. And because he's a giant, he is still more than capable of protecting the rim.

This season, Howard is averaging 1.4 blocks per page. That's much lower than what he has averaged in other seasons of his career, and especially his career average of 2.0 blocks per game.

Howard is still a serviceable player in the NBA. He may have flamed out with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Houston Rockets, and the Atlanta Hawks, but it appears he has found a home with the Hornets.

But in each of those three stops, Howard has eventually left. He was traded to the Hornets, but mainly because he was so bad in Atlanta that the team was almost forced to pull the trigger.

If Howard is going to continue entertaining us with blocks like this, it doesn't matter where he plays.
