The Charlotte Hornets escaped with a narrow victory over the powerhouse Toronto Raptors, 113-111, thanks to Jeremy Lamb's heroics.

In the closing seconds of the game, Kemba Walker drove towards the paint, attracting five Raptors defenders in the process and eventually kicking the ball out to Lamb who's left all alone behind the arc.

The Hornets' win kept the team's playoff hopes alive. However, they are walking on thin ice with the Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets, and Orlando Magic in front of them from the ninth to seventh spot, respectively.

At least, Charlotte did what it's supposed to do and all that's left now is to hope that lady luck smiles in their favor.

Lamb's final shot was three of his 22 total points to go along with five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Walker led the Hornets with 29 points, six rebounds, and eight assists.

On the other hand, the Raptors were led by Kawhi Leonard who tallied 29 points, six rebounds, and four assists. He got solid support from Serge Ibaka, finishing the night with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Toronto is already a lock for the second seed in the Eastern Conference, but the team might want to push a little further to secure the overall No.2 seed in case they reach the Finals and meet the Golden State Warriors.
