Malik Monk saves the day for the Charlotte Hornets against the Detroit Pistons.

With just one second left in the game and the scores tied at 106-all, Monk delivered the killing blow to the Pistons. After receiving the inbound, Monk did not hesitate and took the long three despite having two defenders in front of him.

Fortunately for the Hornets, lady luck smiled on the 21-year-old shooting guard who drained the shot — all net!

The Hornets won 109-106, with Monk finishing the game with a team-high 19 points, four rebounds and one assist. Terry Rozier also had 19 for Charlotte while Devonte' Graham chipped in a double-double of 18 points and 10 assists.

Langston Galloway had a huge performance for Detroit with 32 points, while Andre Drummond had a first-half double-double en route to 16 markers and 20 boards. However, they were just unlucky in the end.
