At least no one will ever call former Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt a quitter. If anything, the man once known to run electric offenses, is consistent in his regular attempts to bring a lawsuit against his former employer.

Houston Nutt has refiled his lawsuit against Ole Miss, the athletic foundation, and the IHL Board of Trustees in a county court, as he attempts to fight a legal battle against his former employer.

The former Ole Miss coach previously had a lawsuit tossed out of a federal court, but he was eligible to re-file the lawsuit in a county court in the state of Mississippi.

As for what the case is all about, the details are similar to his first attempt. He claims Ole Miss committed a breach of contract and he is seeking punitive damages. Nutt claims his successor, and now also former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze, conducted a misinformation campaign against Nutt in response to a NCAA investigation.

Our beloved hero Houston Nutt believes Freeze and Ole Miss attempted to shift blame and responsibility for alleged violations of NCAA rules on Nutt.

The real loser in this, regardless if Nutt is correct or not, is everyone on the planet. The school is still now known as a program in scandal, Freeze lost his job, as did Nutt.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see how this plays out in the lower courts. If it doesn't work here, maybe Nutt will try again, but with a slightly different approach/claim.
