Paul Pierce may still be busy putting the finishing touches to his stellar career, following his one-day contract with the Boston Celtics to retire with them, but Big3 league founder Ice Cube is already planning to bring him back to playing competitive basketball.

Despite already accepting an offer from ESPN to be one of their analysts next season, the famous rapper still took his chances by posting a tweet, and recruiting Piece to bring his talents to his league. He even added the catch phrase “The Truth will set us free” to entice him further.

Despite two seasons of not playing heavy minutes, many believe that the 39-year-old still has a lot of game left in him. He relatively remained healthy towards the end of his playing days, and mostly served as a veteran mentor to his younger teammates with the L.A. Clippers.

Ice Cube's invitation to Pierce can be considered a standing offer to him, should he feel the itch to play competitive basketball once again. For now, it doesn't look like he will be accepting it, as Pierce may enjoy retirement first and focus on being a sports analyst.

However, that may not be the case a few years down the road, and should The Truth ultimately take his talents to the Big3, he would be among its biggest draws together with Allen Iverson.
