Love him or hate him, there's no denying that the Golden State Warriors‘ Kevin Durant is one of the most magnetic players in the NBA. His secret: he just stays true to himself.
ESPN's Royce Young recently compiled a list of interesting facts about the former MVP, showing how unique of a personality Durant is on and off the courts.
Here are several of the more hidden gems taken from Young's article about Durant that his fans may want to throw out on trivia night:
Photography is one of Kevin Durant's biggest hobbies, so much so that he even took snapshots of Super Bowl 50 for The Player's Tribune.
His other pastimes include playing video games, going on bike rides and making music. He even wants to become a music producer when he retires.
The number 35 on his jersey is an homage to his first basketball coach Charles “Big Chucky” Craig, who was murdered at the age of 35.
He has a myriad of tattoos covering his back, chest and legs. He once called them “business tattoos” after deciding to avoid getting inked on his arms and neck to keep a cleaner image as a professional basketball player. The best tat of the bunch: a portrait of Rick James on his left thigh.
He never liked any of the more creative nicknames give to him by fans, such as “Slim Reaper” and “Durantula”. Simply “KD” works fine with him.
