Seniors dominating college basketball is a thing of the past.

Oklahoma's Buddy Hield was an aberration last season when he finished second in the nation with 25 points a night, leading the Sooners to the Final Four. In the one-and-done era, you're considered a veteran by your sophomore season.

When a player like Hield comes around, it leaves the college basketball world in search of the next version of him. The best candidate to have a Hield-like senior campaign next season? How about Clemson's Jaron Blossomgame?

Blossomgame's scoring in his first three years has risen from 8.4 as a freshman to 17.0 as a sophomore, and then to 21.9 last season. He will surely be in contention to be one of the nation's leading scorers next year. He also shot a blistering 51.3 percent last season.

“I feel I can come back and improve my stock tremendously with the opportunities I have here at Clemson,” Blossomgame said, per the Post and Courier‘s Aaron Brenner.

Here's some analysis from Bleacher Report lead NBA writer Jonathan Wasserman:

Assuming he can build on last year's numbers and overall performance, he is one of the more proven prospects with a body and game that fit the NBA.

I'm buying preseason stock in Blossomgame, who's more of a steady bloomer than a late one.

Blossomgame looks like he's got the tools to become an even better player next season. If he does that, he'll be in the conversation of the next Buddy Hield.
