Isaiah Thomas once again had a solid game on Wednesday when his team hosted the Indiana Pacers. He led the Boston Celtics to their 109-100 victory and finished the game with 25 points, five assists, one steal and one block.

However, that was not the only highlight of his night. By being the top scorer once again for his squad, he has now tied Kobe Bryant for third place in the list of most consecutive games leading their respective team in scoring.

The 5-foot-9 point guard is having his best year in the NBA this season with a career-high average of 29.1 points, to go along with 2.6 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.

His strong play especially in forth quarters has given him the name “King of the Fourth” and made him part of the astonishing MVP conversation this year. More importantly, he has given the C's a major boost and made it possible for them to catch up to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the top seed in the Eastern Conference. They are currently only one game behind the defending champions and are putting a lot of pressure on them headed into the final sprint.

With Thomas taking most of the offensive load, he has emerged as their go-to-guy in the clutch which allows his other teammates to focus on defense. Understanding their roles better might be what separates them from other teams, which will help them tremendously in the playoffs.
