There will be a Game 7 in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs semifinals series between the New York Islanders and the Tampa Bay Lightning after Isles’ winger Anthony Beauvillier buried the game-winning goal in overtime of Game 6, Wednesday night.  The Isles' victory spoiled a historic night by Brayden Point, who became the first Lightning player to record a point in nine-straight playoff games.

When asked about his huge unassisted goal, Beauvillier admitted that he couldn’t remember what exactly happened shortly after his heroic Islanders playoff moment, per Pat Leonard of The Daily News.

“I kinda blacked out a little bit,” Beauvillier said. “I was just screaming and everyone kinda jumped on me. I couldn’t be [happier]. A really big game from everybody. We really wanted to go back to Tampa for Game 7. We earned the opportunity to do that. Everybody’s excited.”

Well, that was reminiscent of that hilarious debate scene in the 2003 film Old School, where Will Ferrell’s character (Frank “The Tank” Ricard), shockingly shut James Carville down while apparently blacked out.

Beauvillier’s goal capped an improbable victory for the Islanders, who trailed 0-1 after the first period and 0-2 for a while in the second period. The play started to develop when Lightning center Blake Coleman made a disastrous attempt to pass the puck only for it to be intercepted by the 24-year-old winger.  Beauvillier immediately fired a wrister that was too quick for Andrei Vasilevskiy to anticipate. The game-winner is Beauvillier's fifth of the playoffs and 13th point in the postseason for the Islanders.

Game 7 of the series will be in Tampa on Friday night.
