Israel Adesanya has been very busy on his YouTube channel and has been acting to everything that goes on in the MMA World. It was only natural he would continue to do so when his former opponents Marvin Vettori and Paulo Costa met in the main event of UFC Vegas 41.

Marvin Vettori won the fight by unanimous decision. The bout was very exciting with Paulo Costa managing to hurt the Italian a few times.

Israel Adesanya commented on Paulo Costa to kick things off.

“It’s hard to look at [Costa] the same,” Adesanya said (transcription via MMAFighting). “Like, all the shit is just fugazi to me now. It’s always been, but it’s just like you’ve seent it.”

It kicked off with Paulo Costa getting some shots fired his way. Israel Adesanya kept it going by commenting on Marvin Vettori next.

“How does Vettori punch and kick with literally almost no threat behind them,” Adesanya said.. “No pop, no sting.”

As Israel Adesanya continued to analyze the action, he was surprised to find Paulo Costa trying to wrestle. He was very critical of technique.

“Whoa, he shot for a fucking double leg!” Adesanya said. “Top game, okay, let’s see. This is interesting. He’s gonna get swept. A guillotine. (unintelligible) Aw, what the fuck was that? … Literally just a shit show. That was horrible.”

The champion appeared to not be entertained by the back and forth contest. He even pretended to sleep.

“I told you they’re both shit,” Israel Adesanya said when asked about it.

Israel Adesanya did have some nice things to say about Paulo Costa but was quick to remind him that he was the better fighter. He tried to implicate the New Zealander's techniques.

“[Costa] did right,” Adesanya said. “Inside leg kicks, I wish he did that more, I wish he stayed with the inside leg kicks because that was working. He tried to hip feint at one point but he hit like, this close. It’s like, bro, this is what ‘Twist’ (coach Tristam Apikotoa) says, people try to copy what we do but they don’t understand the levels or the uses of what we’re doing. They just think, ‘That looks pretty. Everyone’s using that.’ They try to copy it, but it’s not the same.”
