The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12. Jaguars-Falcons are two of the worst teams in football but one is going to have to leave with a victory.

The Jaguars are coming into this 2-8 while the Falcons are coming in at 4-6. Jacksonville has been playing some better football recently but is still having a tough time putting points on the board. The Falcons have only put up three points in their past two games including getting shutout against the New England Patriots in Week 11 on Thursday night.

This should be an interesting game as both teams don't score much and haven't had much success this season. Let's take a look at some reasons why the Jaguars will beat the Atlanta Falcons.

Jaguars Week 12 Predictions

4. Trevor Lawrence has his best game as a professional

Lawrence is going to look to come out and play the best football that he has as a professional. The Falcons have one of the worst defenses in the league and this is going to help Trevor Lawrence finally be able to play the way that the world knows he can. It is tough for him to find much success when he is playing for arguably the worst team in football. This season he only has 2,141 yards and has thrown nine interceptions with only eight touchdowns.

This is the perfect game for Lawrence to come out and finally play the way that he is expected to. The Falcons have given up more than 25 points in each of their last three games and that's going to continue when Trevor Lawrence takes the field on Sunday. Lawrence is going to throw for over 250 yards and two touchdowns while not having any interceptions.

3. Defense finally plays better

Jacksonville has given up at least 23 points in every single one of their games besides two. This is the perfect opportunity for this defense to finally get some stops as they're taking on one of the worst offenses in football. The Falcons have not been able to score at all recently and the Jaguars are going to use this as a week to get their defense back on track. If Jacksonville's defense could have been any bit serviceable this season, they might have had a chance to make some noise.

When your defense gives over 23 points in almost every single one of your games, you're not going to find much success.

2. The Jaguars don't score more than a touchdown in the first half

The offensive struggles for the Jaguars will continue for the first half of the game. Although they are going up against one of the worst defenses and teams in football, they still will struggle early on.

Luckily for the Jaguars, the Falcons have not played great defensively recently and that's going to help them put up over two touchdowns in the second half on Sunday.

1. Last-second field goal

When two teams who aren't the best battle it out, it is usually a tight game. This isn't going to be any different on Sunday as both teams are going to have struggles scoring the ball and also have struggles getting stops.

Jacksonville is going to win this game 25-22 as they're going to kick a last-second field goal to walk away with the victory.
