Manchester United target Jadon Sancho has agreed to terms with the club over a record €100 million ($118 million) transfer fee, one that will have him make an extra €20 million ($23.5 million) in performance bonuses.

According to The Guardian, the Borussia Dortmund talent could earn as much as £250,000 ($326,000) a week at Old Trafford under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer — a move both clubs expect to complete. Dortmund is hoping the pact can be done by the end of the week, while Manchester United is in no rush to seal the deal just yet.

Jadon Sancho scored 17 goals and lined out 16 assists in the 2019-20 Bundesliga season and is expected to compete with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and the budding talent Mason Greenwood for a place in the midfield. Many expect the 20-year-old, who is Solskjaer's main target this summer, to easily make the starting XI next season.

This deal for Sancho will surpass that of Harry Maguire for the highest fee paid for an Englishman by a Premier League Club. Sancho left Manchester City as a 17-year-old due to lack of playing time, getting his wish in Germany as he carved a spot in Borussia Dortmund's lineup.

Manchester United must send a formal bid for the winger by Aug. 10 to complete the deal, though the Red Devils are expected to pay his gigantic transfer fee over three installments in the next few years. Dortmund, confident of reloading with young talent next season, agreed to the delayed payment to facilitate Jason Sancho's move to Old Trafford.
