The Jacksonville Jaguars fell short to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10 action, losing 23-17. The Jaguars had an opportunity to go ahead late, but Trevor Lawrence fumbled with less than a minute remaining on the clock.

The Jaguars are now 2-7 on the season, sitting in third in the AFC South just ahead of the Houston Texans. Here are three takeaways from Jacksonville's Week 10 loss in Indianapolis.

Jacksonville Jaguars Week 10 takeaways vs. Colts

1. Jacksonville Has Heart

After an awe-inspiring upset victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 9, the Jaguars quickly fell behind 17-0 against the Colts but ended up making it a game. The Colts may not be a Super Bowl contender, but nearly coming back from a three-score deficit on the road is something to build on.

The Jaguars' pass defense has been much better in the last couple weeks, and on Sunday they limited Carson Wentz to 180 yards passing. Jacksonville did a great job getting off the field, holding the Colts to just 4-of-15 conversions on third down.

The biggest positive is the Jaguars still seem somewhat locked in for a team that has gone through a lot of trials and tribulations, including the Urban Meyer ordeal earlier in the year. The Meyer scandal could've easily broken Jacksonville, but they've rallied around their head coach.

2. Another Bad T-Law Performance

Trevor Lawrence has had a very rocky rookie season, and it wasn't pretty on Sunday. Lawrence only completed 16-of-35 passes for 162 yards and a passer rating of 59.5.

To be fair, Lawrence's best weapons consist of Dan Arnold and Marvin Jones Jr., but the Jaguars still need better play out of their first overall pick. Lawrence was projected by many to be the best quarterback out of college since Andrew Luck. Luck ended up carrying the Colts to an 11-5 record in his first season with a horrendously bad offensive line and defense.

Lawrence is currently being outperformed by other rookie quarterbacks such as Justin Fields and Mac Jones. Although Lawrence may be in the worst scenario of all of them, not many people, if any, expected his NFL career to start this badly. Right now, T-Law has more interceptions thrown than touchdowns and is only completing 58% of his passes on the season.

3. Curse Of Lucas Oil Stadium Continues

Since 2013, the Jaguars have only won once at Lucas Oil Stadium against the Colts. That was back in 2017 when the team known as “Sacksonville” ended up making the AFC Championship Game and nearly advanced to the Super Bowl.

The Jaguars will luckily be at home for their next two games against two mediocre opponents in San Francisco and Atlanta. I wouldn't be shocked if they're able to pull out at least one win considering they have much more success at TIAA Bank Field (2-3) than as a road team (0-4) in 2021.
