The Jacksonville Jaguars chose to trade A.J. Bouye to the Denver Broncos earlier this week, but it doesn't appear there are any hard feelings from either side. Following the news of the trade, Bouye penned a goodbye letter to Jacksonville via his Twitter account.

Just a few weeks ago, it was reported that Bouye could be released by the Jaguars this offseason. However, before they released the veteran cornerback, they were able to find a trade partner in the Denver Broncos. In the trade, the Broncos sent a fourth-round pick to land the Pro Bowl defensive back.

After spending four seasons with the Houston Texans, Bouye signed a five-year, $67.5 million contract with the Jaguars in 2017. Since then, he became a vital member of Jacksonville's secondary.

At one point, Bouye and Jalen Ramsey were considered to be one of the best cornerback duos in the NFL. In their first season together, both Bouye and Ramsey were named to the Pro Bowl.

Similar to Bouye, Ramsey was traded to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2019 season. Back in 2017, the starting secondary of the Jaguars consisted of Ramsey, Bouye, Tashaun Gipson, and Barry Church. Now, with Bouye being sent to Denver, Jacksonville no longer has any of those guys on the roster.

Sometimes when trades occur in sports, the player could throw shade at the franchise that traded them. Instead of doing that, Bouye kept it professional, thanking the Jaguars and the fans for their support over the years. Despite Bouye's heartfelt letter, it's tough to understand what Jacksonville's plan for the future is.
