Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson of the Jacksonville Jaguars is set to enter the free agent market for the first time in his NFL career.

It could be quite a different experience after missing almost entirely the 2017 NFL season due to a torn ACL that he is still in the recovery process. Despite that, Robinson told SiriusXM NFL Radio on Wednesday afternoon that he is quite confident that teams will recognize his talent and look past his recent injury.

Prior to the injury, Robinson has proven to be one of the more productive receivers in the league. He experienced a breakout 2015 campaign, making 80 catches for 1,400 receiving yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns to earn a Pro Bowl selection. Robinson was also the first Jaguars receiver to compile over 1,000 receiving yards in a single season since Jimmy Smith back in 2005.

The 24-year-old did see his production dip in 2016 with 73 catches for 883 receiving yards and six touchdowns, but he has certainly demonstrated that he is deserving of a lucrative deal in spite of the ACL tear that he suffered last season. He is a few years away from the prime of his career and has already established himself as one of the rising stars in the league at his position.

However, what could be interesting in his case is that the Jaguars could place the franchise tag on him before he has the chance to hit free agency. He has been the team's most dependable wide receiver when healthy and losing him would be a major blow to their passing game.

If he were to hit the free agent market, there is a realistic chance that he may sign elsewhere given the slew of significant offers he would receive as one of the top players available at his position. Nonetheless, it's clear that Robinson firmly believes that he will return to his Pro Bowl form in 2018.
