It has been a long path to recovery from a torn ACL for Jacksonville Jaguars star wide receiver Allen Robinson.

There still isn't a set target date for his return, but Robinson recently voiced confidence that he will return to full health in the near future, per Michael DiRocco of ESPN.

“I don’t really know what is going to happen. I know there’s a lot of different scenarios,” Robinson said. “Right now, my main focus is to kind of let my agent narrow down the scenarios and for me to get back at 100 percent. That’s the main focus right now for me. Again, I know I’ll be back at 100 percent and relatively soon. At the end of the day, I know all that is going to play out.

“I know the player that I am. I know the plays that I made. I know the plays I’m going to continue to make. From that standpoint, it doesn’t really bother me or I don’t really concern myself too much with that [the contract situation].”

Robinson has been on the mend since suffering the injury in the season opener back in early September. He continues to make progress in his recovery, leading to reports that the team is leaning toward placing the franchise tag on him for the 2018 season if no long-term deal can be reached this upcoming offseason.

The 24-year-old has proven to be the Jaguars' clear-cut best wide receiver over the last couple of seasons. He had a breakout 2015 campaign, making 80 catches for 1,400 receiving yards and a league-leading 14 touchdowns to earn a Pro Bowl selection. Robinson was also the first Jaguars receiver to compile over 1,000 receiving yards in a single season since Jimmy Smith back in 2005.

Robinson did experience a step back in production in 2016 with 73 catches for 883 receiving yards and six touchdowns, but he has certainly shown enough to warrant a lucrative long-term deal despite the ACL injury.
