While the Jacksonville Jaguars are busy preparing for their big AFC Championship Game showdown with the New England Patriots on Sunday, star wide receiver Allen Robinson is also busy rehabbing the torn ACL he suffered in Week 1 which cost him the entire season.

Robinson is now facing a bit of uncertainty as he’s set to enter free agency this offseason as it remains to be seen exactly how the torn ACL will affect his next contract. But as Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports, Robinson is confident it won’t be long until he comes back to full strength from his serious injury.

“Everybody knows the plays I’m capable of making and being 24 years old, I’m expected to make a 100 percent recovery,” he said. “I know I’ll be at 100 percent relatively soon.”

Robinson led the Jaguars in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. That includes his terrific 2015 season when he led the NFL with 14 touchdown grabs and earned a trip to the Pro Bowl.

It’s been a testament to the Jaguars’ defense and running game that they’ve managed to make it all the way to the conference title game even without one of their best offensive players. But despite their success without Robinson, the Jaguars will almost surely make some effort to retain him, possibly using the franchise tag.

It’s not the lucrative long-term contract Robinson was likely going to sign prior to his injury. But if he makes good on his claim that he’ll be back to 100 percent when he returns, it likely won’t be long until he does get his big payday.
