The Jacksonville Jaguars were perhaps the biggest surprise of the 2017 NFL season after reaching the AFC Conference Championship in their first playoff appearance in a decade. Needless to say, the expectations moving forward are now higher than ever.

It appears quarterback Blake Bortles is well-aware of this notion with the start of training camp. According to John Oehser of the team's official website, Bortles has made it clear that it is Super Bowl or bust or the Jaguars in the 2018 NFL season:

“Our goal here is to make the playoffs, go win the AFC South and go win a Super Bowl. We got two out of three done last year and obviously came up short on finishing that last goal. In a sense, it does feel like unfinished business …”

Bortles' comments should come as no surprise. The Jaguars established themselves s one of the most formidable teams in the league during the 2017 campaign. Furthermore, they managed to keep the majority of their key players from last season.

There is a lot less uncertainty surrounding Bortles' status as well. Last season was a bit of a deciding year for Bortles amidst his looming contract extension. However, he managed to win the confidence of the Jaguars' brass with one of his best years yet.

Jacksonville's run-heavy approach has done wonders for Bortles in the passing game. Meanwhile, their tenacious defense should give the offense plenty of chances for easy points like they did last season. However, they must be careful not to buy into their own hype with such a long season ahead of them.
