Throughout much of this season, much has been said about quarterback Blake Bortles' ability to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars to success. However, he has been able to quiet most of that talk with the Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game and one win away from reaching their first Super Bowl in franchise history.

There is also an encouraging trend this season on Jacksonville's side with their success against Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks, according to Ryan Hannable of WEEI.

The Jaguars have been able to put up at least 30 points in each contest with Bortles playing a huge factor offensively in helping his team to an undefeated mark in those instances. He has posted a passer rating above 90 three times and holds a seven touchdowns-to-one interception ratio in those four games.

Obviously, Tom Brady also falls into that category of Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks. However, he has had a much greater amount of success than any of the others on that list. He is set to play in his 12th AFC Championship Game and has won seven times to reach the Super Bowl. Brady has a clear understanding of what it will take to reach an eighth Super Bowl and third out of the last four years.

Although it will be a daunting challenge, Bortles does have the benefit of having arguably the best defense in the league behind him. The Jaguars possess the top-ranked pass defense that should play a major factor in determining the outcome of the game. He also has one of the best young running backs behind him in rookie Leonard Fournette, who is coming off a 109-yard, three-touchdown performance against the Steelers.

All of this could set the table for Bortles to make just enough key plays to move the chains and put his team in scoring position. The opportunity to reach the Super Bowl is in front of them, and this could be a career-defining moment for the Jaguars quarterback.
