This NFL offseason might be the craziest in the league's history. Massive contract extensions and big talent shifts have all redefined the current landscape of the league. Many people point to one particular signing that kick-started this insanity: Christian Kirk's massive contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Kirk was projected to be one of the best, if not the best, wide receiver in the free agency class. However, the Jaguars handed Kirk huge money to play for them: 4 years, $84 million. Fans speculate that this contract for a guy that isn't even one of the ten best receivers in the league skewed the market heavily. This, eventually, would lead to Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill spurning their teams in search of a fat pay day.

On Saturday, Kirk broke his silence on the matter. The new Jaguars wide receiver went on Colin Cowherd's show and said that regardless of his new contract, the best receivers in the league would still get their rightful bag.

“Guys like Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, they were going to get those deals regardless, especially where the cap is, how much money the league’s bringing in every year. And you just see the way different positions are getting paid. Guys are just gonna start getting paid more and our position has been at the forefront.”

The Jaguars wide-out would also point out that his position is one of the most impactful ones in the game.

No one should really blame Christian Kirk for accepting the Jaguars' insane offer. Hell, people would call you crazy if you turned down an offer like that. If you are a Chiefs or Packers fan looking to blame someone for your WR1 leaving you… blame Trent Baalke and Shad Khan.
