Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark remained sidelined during Wednesday's practice as he deals with an ankle injury according to Jordan De Lugo of GenJag.com.

Chark sustained the injury during the Jaguars' loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14. On Wednesday, Jaguars coach Doug Marrone gave an update and he seemed optimistic about the receiver's odds to play on Sunday against the Oakland Raiders.

It's worth noting, Chark is going to continue to wear a walking boot to keep the swelling down. However, he is going to make the trip and hopes to be able to suit up.

“We had some good news going. We have him in a boot to make sure he is protected. The swelling is down,” Marrone said via Sports Illustrated.

“So I think we are going to take that all the way up. We are going to take him out there with us to see how he goes. And I think as long as it doesn't put anyone in jeopardy, you know, of reinjuring, or it could be worse or anything of that nature, then I think you will see a lot of — you know, he will be on the field.”

This is good news for the Jaguars because Chark has quickly become a big part of the offense. So far this season, he has caught 67 passes for 956 yards and eight touchdowns.

Before his injury against the Chargers, Chark was having a big game catching nine passes for 75 yards. Look for more updates out of the Jaguars as the Sunday gets closer.
