The Jacksonville Jaguars desperately need to shore up their offense, and they apparently feel that Darrell Bevell may be the man to help in that area.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Jaguars are expected to interview the former Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator.

Bevell, who was out of the NFL this season, served as the Seahawks' offensive coordinator from 2011 through 2017, helping lead Seattle to a Super Bowl title and two Super Bowl appearances.

His first NFL job came with the Green Bay Packers all the way back in 2000, when he landed a job as assistant quarterbacks coach, a post he held for three years.

Bevell was then promoted to the Packers' quarterbacks coach in 2003, working with Brett Favre through 2005 before becoming the Minnesota Vikings' offensive coordinator in 2006.

The 48-year-old spent five years with the Vikings before joining the Seahawks in 2011.

The Jaguars were one of the worst offensive teams in the league this season, finishing 27th in total offense. Jacksonville's anemic offensive performance throughout the year led to the firing of offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett in late November. It also led to the benching of quarterback Blake Bortles around the same time, although he reclaimed his job during the final two weeks of the season.

That is not expected to last, however, as the Jags are expected to move on from Bortles this offseason.

Jacksonville was probably the league's most disappointing team in 2018, going just 4-12 a year after winning the AFC South division with 10 wins and making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game.
