The Jacksonville Jaguars recently agreed to terms to sign eight-year veteran quarterback Mike Glennon. Glennon has spent seven NFL seasons with four teams: Oakland Raiders in 2019, Arizona Cardinals in 2018, Chicago Bears in 2017, and Tampa Bay from 2013-16.

In an interview with local media Friday, Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone discussed the addition of Glennon and what he brings to the team.

“Mike is entering his eighth season in the NFL and will bring vital experience into our quarterback room and make us a better football team,” Jags coach Doug Marrone said in a statement. “We want to be as strong as possible at every position, and we expect Mike to come in and work hard, compete every day and help our team win.”

“For me, there’s a comfort level from having a veteran presence in that room,” Marrone said. “Having studied Mike quite a bit when he was coming out of N.C. State, and having a good background with him, I really feel he’s going to help out football team in a lot of different ways,” Marrone said, adding that Glennon will “Bring the experience to the room, go out on the field and compete.
