The Jacksonville Jaguars got a surprising win over the rival Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon. However, the struggling Jaguars encountered quite a tumultuous season this time around, which may ultimately cost head coach Doug Marrone his job.

With the franchise's ownership still needing to have a meeting with Marrone, the Jaguars head coach — at least for now — kept things pretty light following his team's win over the Colts in Week 17.

“Am I disappointed? Obviously,” Marrone told reporters on Sunday afternoon, via Mark Long of the Associated Press. “Am I concerned? Yes. You're always concerned when you have a disappointing season. But for this moment, when I leave here, I might have a little bit more than one beer.”
After initially finding success with the Jaguars a few seasons back, it has been a tough road for Marrone and company ever since. Since reaching the AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots in 2017-18, it hasn't been easy for the Jaguars as the team has switched quarterbacks a few times while failing to reach the playoffs again during that span.
This season alone, the Jaguars found a veteran signal-caller in Nick Foles before a rookie in Gardner Mishnew ultimately took over under center. With the Jaguars switching between the two quarterbacks for various reasons, Minshew eventually prevailed as the better player despite the AFC South franchise investing quite a few dollars in Foles. The team's defense has also underperformed as of late, which did not bode well for a struggling offense.

As a result, Marrone's time in Jacksonville could very well be over.
