Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone knows that his team is in a tough spot following their 30-9 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night.

The Jaguars are now 4-9 on the year, which is certainly a huge disappointment after advancing to the AFC Championship Game a season ago.

Jacksonville has struggled to find a rhythm the entire season, and that has included a change at quarterback with Blake Bortles being benched in favor of Cody Kessler.

Marrone is well aware that his team has not met expectations this season, but apparently, that doesn't have him too concerned about his current job security.

When asked whether he'd been approached by the front office following the loss to the Titans, here's what Marrone had to say, courtesy of Jaguars senior writer John Oehser:

“The answer to that question is no,” Marrone said Friday, a day after the Jaguars’ 30-9 loss to the Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, a loss that assured the team a losing season.

“The way I approach it is I just keep going as hard as I can until someone tells me otherwise. I don’t look for any type of assurances and I don’t ask for them. … I’m the type of person who just goes 100 miles an hour. We’re in a tough situation and I’m trying to get this team right.

“I’m not looking for that or asking for that. I’m trying to handle all my responsibility as a head coach and get this team to play better, to perform better.”

It's wild to think Marrone could lose his job a season after leading the team so far, but that's the nature of the coaching business.

The Jaguars will return to the field in Week 15 when they host the Washington Redskins.
