A group of Jacksonville Jaguars fans have launched a website to try and stop the team from going to London for the second home game.

The Jaguars fan group, Bold City Brigade, launched the Duval Coalition on Wednesday afternoon and as of Thursday morning, 15,059 fans and 617 local businesses have joined the website.

“Our organization was born out of the diehard support that so many local fans have displayed over the past 25 seasons,” a statement posted to the Bold City Brigade’s website said. “We want to make it clear that we vehemently oppose this decision. Furthermore, it is our belief that any other fanbase, if faced with a similar situation would feel equally as disappointed and angry.”

Jaguars president Mark Lamping has heard from the fans and said they will meet with members of the group to try and grow a relationship going forward.

“We know how passionate this fan base is and we’re all striving for the same thing: to keep the Jaguars strong in Jacksonville,” Jaguars President Mark Lamping said, via Jacksonville.com. “We look forward to having productive dialogue with the group, which as I understand it consists of season ticket members and local business owners. It’s important for us to listen to our fans.”

The NFL has already announced that the Jaguars are going over to London twice, so the chances are there will be no back turning at this point. Maybe the fans speaking up will be enough to to get the Jaguars to not do this again going forward.`
