Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew knows he can't worry about Nick Foles' potential return. Foles is eligible to come off the IR Week 11 and all signs are pointing towards him being ready to return.

It's unclear who will be the starter once Foles' returns, but right now Minshew is focusing on doing whatever he can to help the Jaguars win games.

“It's something I can't really worry about right now,” Minshew said, via Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “Every half-way competitive guy ever, you want to be the guy out there helping your team win, there is no doubt about that. But at the end of the day, we just want to win, and whatever we've got to do to make it happen, we're going to do it.”

Foles broke his collarbone in the team's first game of the season and Minshew was thrust into the starting role. Minshew said he knew at some point he would get a chance to play in an NFL game, he just didn't expect it to be in the first game of the season.

“It's been crazy,” the rookie said of being thrust into the starting lineup. “I knew at some point I'd get an opportunity to play. I didn't think it would be the first quarter of the first game, like how it went. But I've been trying to do my job. A lot of guys have been working hard.”

The big question surrounding the Jaguars is who will be the starting quarterback once Foles come back. Foles was the big offseason acquisition, but there could be an argument made that Minshew has played well enough that he shouldn't lose the job.

The Jaguars have a couple of weeks to figure out who they want under center for the rest of the season.
