The Jacksonville Jaguars are getting blown out on Sunday versus the Tennessee Titans, prompting them to make a change at quarterback. While Mike Glennon began the game as the starter, Glennon has been benched in favor of Gardner Minshew.

Minshew started in the first seven games of the season for the Jaguars after impressing in his rookie campaign in 2019. In his rookie season, Minshew finished with 3,271 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions, earning multiple Rookie of the Week honors throughout the year.

However, after his seventh start of the 2020 season, Minshew was discovered to have broken fingers on his throwing hand. Given that, he hadn't played since Jacksonville's bye week in Week 8, giving the reins of the offense to Jake Luton and then Glennon.

After Luton struggled, Glennon provided the offense with a spark. But on Sunday, Glennon mightily struggled against a weak Titans defense, forcing Doug Marrone to insert Minshew back into the offense. Minshew came in and threw a touchdown to make it a 31-10 deficit.

Before his hand injury, Minshew had 1,855 yards, 13 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also tacked on another 122 yards and a rushing touchdown with his legs in the first seven weeks of the season.

There's no doubt that all the Jaguars are playing for right now is their pride while everyone centers their attention on where they will be making a selection in the 2021 NFL Draft. Most mock drafts have Jacksonville taking a quarterback, which would mean Minshew's job security is dwindling.

Despite not playing since October, it appears Minshew will get another chance to show that he can be a starter in the NFL.
