The Jacksonville Jaguars own two first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, but they could be moving up in the draft. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell reached out to the Detroit Lions about the No. 3 pick.

Ahead of the draft, the Lions have made it clear that they are willing to deal the No. 3 pick in the first round. Seeing that the Miami Dolphins have the most draft capital, it's been expected that they'll be the team to work out a trade with Detroit.

However, the Jaguars have two first-round picks at No. 9 and No. 20, respectively. Of course, Jacksonville will likely be discussing a trade that involves the No. 9 pick, while also trying to hold onto the No. 20 selection.

With the ninth overall pick, the Jaguars have been projected to be targeting a cornerback or an interior defensive lineman. In the event that they trade for the No. 3 pick, it's likely that Jacksonville has their sights on someone like Jeffrey Okudah.

On the other hand, the Jaguars could shock everyone and decide to trade up for Tua Tagovailoa. But given that the team believes in Gardner Minshew, a trade up for Tagovailoa likely isn't in the cards.

There's no doubt that the Jaguars are amid a complete rebuild this offseason, trading more of their players for draft capital. Unless Jacksonville somehow gives Detroit a better offer than Miami, then it's unlikely a trade involving the Jaguars and Lions will come into fruition. Still, that isn't going to stop Caldwell from testing the waters for the No. 3 pick.
