The Jacksonville Jaguars may have lost quarterback Nick Foles for the season on Sunday, so they on Monday, they made a move to shore up their depth at the position, swinging a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers for signal-caller Josh Dobbs, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Jaguars sent a fifth-round draft pick to the Steelers in return.

Foles left Jacksonville's season-opening loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the first quarter after being driven into the ground by Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones on what ended up being a 35-yard touchdown pass to DJ Chark.

It was revealed that Foles suffered a broken clavicle, for which he will undergo surgery on Monday.

There is currently no timetable for Foles' return.

Rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew filled in for Foles and was impressive, completing 22 of his 25 passes for 275 yards, a couple of touchdowns and an interception.

Minshew, who played his collegiate football at Washington State, was selected by the Jaguars in the sixth round (178th pick overall) of the NFL Draft back in April.

Dobbs is now in his second season after being chosen by the Steelers in the fourth round out of the University of Tennessee last year.

The 24-year-old threw 12 passes during his rookie campaign, completing six of them for 50 yards. He also threw an interception.

It remains to be seen how Jacksonville handles its quarterback situation moving forward but based on Minshew's performance in Week 1; it seems likely that the Jaguars will stick with the rookie for their Week 2 matchup against the Houston Texans next week.
