The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't had any trade discussions involving defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, according to Mike Kaye of NJ.com.

The franchise placed the franchise tag on Ngakoue, but the star defensive end has made clear that he wants to sign a long term contract with another team. The Jaguars have already traded cornerback A.J. Bouye, defensive lineman Calais Campbell and quarterback Nick Foles. It would only make sense that the team might want to trade Ngakoue.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, one team that has a lot of interest in Ngakoue is the Philadelphia Eagles, but it doesn't appear there is any movement in that happening, at least not yet.

Ngakoue will be only 25 when the 2020 starts. Through his four-year career he has been elite. In each of the four years, Ngakoue has had at least eight sacks in each. Overall Ngakoue has 37.5 sacks and he has also had two interceptions.

If the Jaguars do decide to trade Ngakoue there are a lot of moving pieces that need to happen before it can get done. The first thing that needs to happen is Ngakoue inking the franchise tag. If Ngakoue doesn't sign the franchise tag, they can't trade him. Ngakoue would also probably need to agree to a long term extension with a team because it's hard to imagine many teams are going to give up a lot of draft capital for one year.

If Ngakoue isn't traded before the start of OTA”s this could get ugly.
