The Jacksonville Jaguars have interviewed Ben McAdoo for their offensive coordinator job, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The Jaguars fired John DeFilippo from that role earlier this week.

McAdoo last appeared on the NFL level back in 2017, when he was head coach of the New York Giants. He spent two years at as the Giants' head coach, experiencing mixed success.

During his first season in charge, McAdoo led New York to 11 wins and a playoff appearance, making Big Blue's only trip the postseason since last winning the Super Bowl during the 2011-12 campaign. However, the following year was disastrous for McAdoo, as the Giants were just 2-10 before he was fired with a few games left to play. Not only did the club underperform, but there were locker-room issues, as well.

The 42-year-old landed his first NFL job back in 2004, when he was named offensive quality control coordinator of the New Orleans Saints. The next season, he joined the San Francisco 49ers in the same role, but also took on the responsibility of offensive line coach.

Then, in 2006, McAdoo moved over to the Green Bay Packers, taking their tight ends coach job, a position he would hold through 2011 before being promoted to quarterbacks coach.

New York then hired McAdoo as its offensive coordinator in 2014. He led the Giants to top-10 offenses in each of his two seasons as offensive play-caller, resulting in New York handing him the head-coaching job in 2016.

The Jaguars won just five games this past season, but with Gardner Minshew under center, Leonard Fournette in the backfield, and a talented receiving corps, Jacksonville's offense has a bright future.
