After being a question mark over the past few days due to a knee injury, Jacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson has now received the green light to play in his team's Week 16 road matchup with the New York Jets.

The Jaguars released their final injury report for Week 16, and the versatile back was not placed any injury designation.

Robinson has been a regular on the Jaguars' injury reports ever since he came away from the Week 8 road loss to the Seattle Seahawks with a heel injury, which then forced him to miss the upset home win over the Buffalo Bills in the following week.

Robinson then entered the Jaguars’ Week 12 clash with the San Francisco 49ers dealing with a knee injury, which he has been nursing for over a month now.

There was a growing concern as to Robinson’s status for the Jaguars' upcoming game against the Jets after he was limited in practice on Wednesday and did not feature in Thursday’s session. However, as an earlier report noted, the Jaguars are not expected to have Robinson take part in any of their remaining practice sessions on Thursdays in an effort to manage his workload ahead of games.

Robinson is just coming off of a keen performance against the Houston Texans where he featured in 89 percent of snaps on offense, totaled for 88 yards from scrimmage and scored a rushing touchdown.

Robinson is expected to be a focal point of the Jaguars’ game planning on offense this week, especially as interim head coach Darrell Bevell recently confirmed that the former Illinois State star is the team’s starting running back and “he will be played as such.”

The Jaguars star running back has recorded eight total touchdowns and is 21 yards away from recording at least 1,000 yards from scrimmage for the second consecutive season.
