The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed free-agent wide receiver Chris Conley, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Conley spent the 2018 campaign with the Kansas City Chiefs, playing in all 16 games and hauling in 32 receptions for 334 yards and five touchdowns.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Georgia, was originally selected by the Chiefs in the third round (76th pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Conley went on to appear in all 16 contests during his rookie season, catching 17 passes for 199 yards and a score. Then, the following year, he once again participated in all 16 games, snaring 44 balls for 530 yards.

The Dallas, Ga. native then proceeded to play in just five games in 2017 as a result of rupturing his Achilles on Oct. 8. Before going down with the injury, Conley had totaled 11 catches for 175 yards.

Conley played four seasons at Georgia, finishing out his collegiate career by registering 36 receptions for 657 yards while reaching the end zone eight times during his senior campaign.

Those statistics were very similar to the numbers he posted during his junior year, when he hauled in 45 catches for 651 yards and four touchdowns.

The Jaguars are in desperate need of offense, so Conley may very well have a rather significant role within their passing game heading into next season. Remember: Jacksonville now has a new quarterback, as it signed Nick Foles to replace the struggling Blake Bortles, who the Jags proceeded to release after acquiring Foles.

The Jaguars won just five games this past season, one year after making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game.
