The Jacksonville Jaguars have a little situation at the moment. That would be that superstar cornerback Jalen Ramsey has reportedly requested a trade.

The request has come following a string of events. Ramsey has been asking for a new contract. Meanwhile, he's not happy with the way the defense is using him and had a heated exchange with head coach Doug Marrone during their Week 2 game.

Despite the trade request though, it appears Ramsey is “happy” in Jacksonville. Or at least, that's what he says.

According to Darin Gantt of ProFootballTalk.com, Ramsey's sticking to that belief.

“Right now I’m still a part of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and I’m happy about that.”

Ramsey has been considered an elite cornerback basically from the moment he stepped on an NFL field. He's helped solidify the Jaguars' defense and continuously proves himself by holding it down against any and every receiver he goes up against.

Due to that, any team would love to have Ramsey. So if Jacksonville does decide to make him available in a trade, expect a lot of teams to come calling.

However, if that doesn't happen, Ramsey wants you to know he's happy in Jacksonville.

The real question though is whether he's trying to convince everyone else he's happy, or whether he's trying to convince himself of that.

For now, though, that answer doesn't matter. The demand has been made. Ramsey wants out of Jacksonville. Even if he's happy right now, it's hard to imagine it will stay that way for much longer if he doesn't get what he wants.
