The Jacksonville Jaguars are doing everything they can to get Jalen Ramsey on the field. However, it seems like their star corner's back injury is more serious than it seems.

There are reports that Ramsey will still not play the team's Week 5 game against the Carolina Panthers. Moreover, his latest claims state that he's had back problems for the longest time.

Ramsey guested on The Uninterrupted's “17 Weeks” podcast and explained how long he's been suffering from his poor back. ESPN's Michael DiRocco wrote:

“I went … 51 straight games [before missing last week's game] where I started and played the whole game,” Ramsey said on the podcast. “My body was banged up, my back being extremely tight. Having back issues is something I've had to deal with over the course of my NFL career. At times I've played through extreme pain or not practiced for weeks and tried to go out there and play. It's something I've dealt with.”

It's easy to say that the Pro Bowl corner is doing everything he can to not play for the Jaguars. After all, he's been on his campaign to get out of the team for almost three weeks now.

However, the team is not interested in letting him go in the slightest. Team owner Shad Khan told the press himself that the team still values what he can bring on defense. Despite missing one game, he's already notched 17 tackles, forced a fumble, and made one pass deflection.

It's unlikely that he'll be able to get his way. The Jaguars hope they win this battle of wills and they finally get their man back in the lineup once he has his back sorted.
