The Houston Texans managed to fortify their receiving corps with the addition of former Denver Broncos wideout Demaryius Thomas at the trade deadline. It seems Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is not too thrilled about it.

The Jaguars had already been enduring a tough 2018  NFL season as it is. Ramsey admitted during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio that he is not happy about having to guard Thomas in the near future:

“I do not like that for us. Our rivals just got better,” said Ramsey.

These comments from Jalen Ramsey may come as a bit of a surprise. He has never been shy about expressing his opinions on other players throughout the league. However, they very seldom earn praise from the boisterous All-Pro. It appears he has a sense of respect for Demaryius Thomas.

Although the veteran is still respected throughout the league, it is no secret that he is in the final days of his career. He had even admitted contemplating retirement amidst his recent struggles with injuries. This could be what led to his slow start in Denver this season as he has only hauled in 36 receptions for 402 yards and three touchdowns.

Regardless, Houston had been in desperate need of some depth on the outside. Wide receiver Will Fuller will miss the rest of the year with a torn ACL while promising wideout Keke Coutee is still nursing a hamstring injury. Thomas' arrival certainly helps bring some stability to this ailing group. As a result, the veteran could quickly step in as the No. 2 option across wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.
