Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey recently skipped the early portion of the team's offseason program. Head coach Doug Marrone had to clean up the mess. With both the media and Ramsey chiming in on the issue, Marrone and the veteran defensive back appear to have patched things up in Jacksonville.

It is also worth noting that this portion of the Jaguars' offseason program is voluntary for players.

“Had a great talk,” Marrone recently said, via ESPN. “He's training with his brother. He's in Nashville. He's spending time with his family. He said he's going to come back in the best shape he's ever been in, and he's all fired up. That was pretty much the conversation. It was a good conversation. I was concerned, obviously, because I was texting a number I thought was his and he wasn't getting back to me.

“I couldn't figure out what was going on, so we kind of had a little laugh about it. Now I have the right number. He's always had my number, so it's good.”

The Jaguars are coming off a disappointing campaign after reaching the AFC Championship Game in January of 2018. Coming within just one game of the Super Bowl, the Jaguars then plummeted to the cellar of the AFC South Division last season, stuck behind the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans. However, Jacksonville still has a formidable core in place, which could propel the Jaguars back to the top of the division in 2019.
