Bleacher Report's Mike Tanier compiled a list of who he believes to be the 10 most important players in the NFL for the 2019 season. Topping that list is Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Tanner immediately points out something important to note. The importance of these players is that they're a mixed bag. He's not counting players like Tom Brady or Drew Brees because you know what you're going to get. Sure, they're incredibly important – but not many are saying they can swing the team in either direction based on their play – because you know it's going to be great.

With that in mind, this is an interesting list.

DeSean Jackson starts the list at 10 – hoping to help the Philadelphia Eagles give Carson Wentz a true deep threat.

Gerald McCoy comes in at nine with the Carolina Panthers, being a true run stopper and solid pass rusher on their line.

Cooper Kupp is next for the Los Angeles Rams at eight. A great slot receiver who missed most of last season with an injury.

“Kicker to be named later” for the Chicago Bears comes in at seven – everyone knows the problems they had there last season.

Marcus Davenport with the New Orleans Saints is sixth. The defensive end should bring a lot of pressure to opposing quarterbacks.

Center Travis Frederick is next with the Dallas Cowboys at five. Another scary-good talent on that offensive line.

Wide receiver Tyler Lockett is fourth with the Seattle Seahawks. Russell Wilson needs players to throw too – can he be the answer?

Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is third. They need to run the ball to elevate pressure from Kirk Cousins.

In at second is the slew of sophomore quarterbacks. Who will emerge and lead their team to success?

Finally, Jalen Ramsey with the Jacksonville Jaguars is first. The cornerback might be the best in the league and will undoubtedly be paid like it soon. However, he's had issues with the team and that could spell trouble.

The Jaguars are in a weird spot. After coming so close to a Super Bowl two seasons ago, they were one of the worst teams in the NFL in 2018. They now have Nick Foles at quarterback – hoping to clean up the offense.

That being said, this is still a defensive-minded team. The secondary is led by Ramsey – they'll only go as far as he can take them.
