Throughout his brief career in the NFL, Jacksonville Jaguars star cornerback Jalen Ramsey hasn't been afraid to speak his mind on practically any topic.

This was once again the case on Thursday night as he made it clear that he didn't see Tyreek Hill going up against him this week as a pure wide receiver vs. cornerback matchup because of the special teams' responsibilities that the Kanas City Chiefs Pro Bowler holds.

“I’m looking forward to playing the game. I’m looking forward to playing their offense, seeing our defense against their offense. I don’t like how whoever has made it a matchup—me against Tyreek. He’s good for what he does for their team. He made All-Pro, as a return specialist—let’s get that right—as a return specialist his rookie year. He went to two Pro Bowls as a return specialist. Return specialist. Two years. I made All-Pro in my position as a corner. Went to the Pro Bowl as a corner, so it’s not a wide receiver vs. corner matchup. So we can get out of the way off the bat. I feel like it was a strategic, smart move by him. He’s going to get some clout. He’s going to get the buzz going.”

There is a clear distinction for Ramsey as Hill has also made his mark in the NFL as a major factor in special teams a returner that has earned him a pair of Pro Bowl selections. It has been him his big-play ability in that regard that has helped him find much success in the league as a big weapon in that regard for the Chiefs.

He has also utilized that speed in the passing game over his brief NFL career that has been the case this season as he has 23 catches for 364 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Ramsey may not think of him as a pure wide receiver, but he has the big-play ability behind his blazing speed that could cause him some problems. In response to all that chatter, Hill has voiced that he is ready for the matchup to prove himself with the hope that Ramsey would try to press him in coverage.

Nonetheless, this chatter has set the table even more for what could be a highly entertaining matchup between two top teams in the NFL.
