The NFL Hall of Fame committee has included former Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Tony Boselli as one of its finalists for the 2020 class. It seems Hall of Fame Jason Taylor is making sure people understand how deserving he is of being in this prestigious club.

Taylor spent many years doing what he can to try and get past Boselli. He knows full well that he had been going up against a bonafide Hall of Famer, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk:

“Let me not mince words here,” Taylor wrotes. “Tony Boselli wore me out! In fact, if they didn’t turn off the lights, he would still be kicking my ass. I was blessed to play against the top offensive tackles in this game for many years and Tony, Jonathan Ogden, Orlando Pace, Walter Jones and Willie Roaf were hands down the best at what they did. These guys absolutely dominated, and they ALL belong in the same box. Now, it’s going to have to be a big box, but there definitely needs to be room for Tony in it.”

There is no question that Taylor's comments certainly carry plenty of weight considering his status as one of the best pass rushers of his generation. It is safe to say that there are few who would disagree with his praise of Boselli's prowess.

He was certainly one of the most qualified candidates on this year's ballot as a five-time Pro Bowler, three-time First-Team All-Pro, and was named to the 1990s All-Decade Team. While Taylor's endorsement is appreciated by Boselli, it is clear that the committee feels the same way.
