Joey Bosa has gotten all the attention for defensive rookie of the year, but based on stats, Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Josh Allen shouldn't be that far behind, but he isn't getting any attention.

Allen has one less tackle than Bosa, two more sacks and one more forced fumbles. One of the reasons for Allen not getting a ton of attention is the Jaguars struggle to win games. Meanwhile, Bosa has been a key part of a 49ers defense that is one of the best in football.

“I can't control that. I can just control what I do on Sunday,” Allen said, via Kevin Patra of NFL,com. “You think about my college career, it's been like this my whole life. It's nothing new to me. I still got to keep fighting every week, and fight for my teammates, first off. Play for them. I'm just going to keep doing what I do.”

Allen suffered an injury in the Jaguars' last victory against the Oakland Raiders, but claims he will be good to go against the Atlanta Falcons. This will be one of his final opportunities to solidify his case for the award.

“I'm good. It's just football,” he said of the injury. “Things like that happen all the time to a lot of great players. So, I pride myself on finishing games and just to fight through everything I can. I feel that was a real averse time for me and I'm still fighting. I'm going to be able to play this week.”

Maybe with a couple more big games to end the season, he can gain some traction to be considered for the defensive rookie of the year.
