Jacksonville Jaguars star running back Leonard Fournette has had much difficulty this season staying healthy as he has been working his way through a nagging hamstring injury.

It doesn't appear that there will be any clarity any time soon as he has yet to resume practicing as he didn't take the field on Wednesday but head coach Doug Marrone stated that he will test out the injury on Thursday, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Fournette has played in just two games this season where he has recorded 71 rushing yards on 20 attempts along with four catches for 19 receiving yards. In his absence, the Jaguars have leaned upon backup T.J. Yeldon where he has produced 299 rushing yards on 67 carries and a touchdown along with 25 receptions for 223 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He has provided much stability in Fournette's absence.

Jacksonville has also brought in former Pro Bowl running back Jamaal Charles to add more depth to the backfield while potentially stepping into a more prominent role as the season rolls along. In his first game, Charles had five rushing yards on five attempts along with a reception for five receiving yards. He should see his role grow as he gets more acclimated to the Jaguars' offensive game plan and finds his niche.

In the meantime, the team will continue to monitor Fournette's health that should get more clarity over the next few days as he potentially gets some practice time under his belt this week.
