Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette carried the ball just 11 times and caught three passes during his team's loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday, but he insists that his limited workload was just part of the game plan, according to John Oehser of the Jaguars' official website.

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said he wanted to give an opportunity to reserve running back Dave Williams.

“That was the game plan coming in,” said Fournette. “It’s all about winning at the end of the day.”

Fournette received just one carry in the second half, while Williams carried the ball four times and T.J. Yeldon had two attempts.

It's not like it mattered much for Jacksonville, who fell to 4-10 in a year that the entire team would like to forget.

The Jaguars came into the 2018 campaign with lofty expectations after winning the AFC South and making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game before narrowly losing to the New England Patriots last year.

Some felt Jacksonville would represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this season, and its 3-1 start did nothing to dissuade those predictions.
