Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette was arrested at a Florida car wash last Thursday after police noticed an outstanding warrant for his arrest as a result of an unpaid speeding ticket.

However, Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone says that the team will not be disciplining Fournette for the arrest, saying that he himself has forgotten to pay speeding tickets in the past, which actually resulted in an arrest back in the '90s.

“I got handcuffed, which is tough when you're my size,” Marrone said, per TMZ Sports.

Marrone added that he hoped Fournette learned from his transgression and that he would not make the same mistake again in the future.

Fournette is coming off of a very underwhelming 2018 campaign in which he played eight games and rushed for just 439 yards and five touchdowns, averaging a meager 3.3 yards per carry.

The 24-year-old missed half of the season due to a hamstring injury and a suspension due to his involvement in a midseason brawl with the Buffalo Bills.

Fournette, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the Jaguars with the fourth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He had a very impressive rookie season, rushing for 1,040 yards and nine scores in 13 contests while also hauling in 36 receptions for 302 yards and a touchdown.

As a result of Fournette's solid first year in the league, lofty expectations were placed on him heading into 2018, and as a result of injuries and poor performance in general, he did not deliver.

The Jaguars won just five games this past season.
