The Jacksonville Jaguars decided to let top wideout Allen Robinson hit the open market, and they lost him to the Chicago Bears. However, they have held on to their other free-agent wideout in Marqise Lee, who got a new four-year deal worth up to $38 million and $18 million guaranteed, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Lee, 26, has spent all four years with the Jaguars after they drafted him in the second round in 2014. After being a bit-part player in his first two years in the league, he’s emerged as one of the Jags’ most reliable wideouts over the past two years.

Lee had 63 catches for 851 yards in 2016, both of which were a close second to Robinson. And with Robinson out for basically all of last season, he led the team with 56 catches and was second to Keelan Cole with 702 yards.

The Jaguars have transformed into a more run-first type of offense following the emergence of running back Leonard Fournette. However, Lee will continue to play a major role in the offense moving forward as a consistent receiving target for quarterback Blake Bortles.

But even with Lee locked up, the Jaguars will likely continue to look for possible additions to their receiving corps, which also includes Cole, Allen Hurns, and Dede Westbrook. They were reportedly interested in Sammy Watkins, who has since signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.

If they can find a potential No. 1-caliber receiver to replace Robinson this offseason – either through the draft or in free agency – that should help them consolidate their place as one of the top contenders in the AFC.
